Why I'm Running

I am running for School Board because I know the ability education has in giving people true freedom. A great education gives kids the confidence, opportunity, and the freedom to pursue the future they choose. I love inspiring young learners, and I want to give back to the Eden Prairie community by ensuring every student has access to these opportunities.

The belief in the power of education is deeply personal to me. My educational journey began as an English as a Second Language (ESL) learner, navigating a new language and feeling like I was starting behind. It was educators that believed in me and inspiring experiences like FIRST Robotics that sparked my love for learning. I ultimately went on to earn my Engineering Physics degree from UC Berkeley and later an MBA from the University of Minnesota Carlson School. That journey shaped my commitment to ensuring every student has access to a high-quality education, meaningful experiences that spark curiosity, and a growth-minded learning environment where they can thrive.

Professionally, I bring a proven record of leadership as an engineering manager in the aerospace industry and as chair of a nonprofit that provides computer science and entrepreneurship experiences to young students. In both roles, I mentor people, drive strategy, strengthen policies, and hold myself and others accountable to results. This spring, I completed the Eden Prairie City Government Academy which deepened my understanding of how our city functions and the people it takes to make it feel like home.

Eden Prairie is one of the best school districts in Minnesota, and I am committed to ensuring it remains a place where every student can learn, grow, and thrive. I am running to serve the students, parents, and community of Eden Prairie, and I would deeply appreciate your support and vote on November 3rd. Together, we will lift every learner.

I'm running because good education gives people true freedom.
